Using this site
By using bloody-marvellous.com you agree to these terms. Reading the site is free. Use it for yourself, your family, your friends or your class. Share links to it as much as you like. What you cannot do is copy our content wholesale, republish it as your own or sell it without asking us first.
This is education, not medical advice
We explain what is happening in your body, what is normal and when to get help. We do not diagnose, prescribe or replace your GP, nurse, pharmacist or midwife. Everybody’s body is different and health guidance changes, so use what you read here to understand your body and to ask better questions, not instead of asking.
If you are worried about your health, speak to your GP or call NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999. Never ignore medical advice or put off getting help because of something you read here.
We work hard to keep everything accurate and up to date. If you spot something that looks wrong, tell us and we will check it.
Age groups and under 16s
Our content is written for girls and women from 11 to 90+, in age groups, so each page speaks to the age it is written for. Parents, carers and teachers are welcome to read alongside.
Anyone under 16 is welcome to read the site but cannot sign up to our waitlist. For the 11–15 age group, only a parent, carer or teacher can sign up.
Joining the waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to buying anything. We will email you when your age group opens and, if you said yes, with news from Bloody Marvellous. You can unsubscribe whenever you like. Our Privacy Policy explains how we look after your details.
Paying for anything
We are not selling anything on the site at the moment. Before we do, we will add clear terms covering the price, how billing works, how to cancel and your right to a refund. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Comments and anything you send us
Our comments are for honest questions and real support. Please do not post anything abusive, hateful, threatening, sexual, spam or anyone else’s private details. We may remove comments that break these rules and, if we need to, stop someone from commenting.
You still own what you write. By posting it here, you let us show it on the site. Think before sharing personal health details in a public comment. Everyone can read it.
Our content and our name
The words, images, videos and the Bloody Marvellous name on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Link to us, quote a line and credit us, share a page with a friend. For anything more, ask first.
Links to other websites
We link to charities, helplines and the NHS because they can help. We do not run those sites and we are not responsible for what they say or do.
If something goes wrong
We provide the site free and as it is. We do our best to keep it working and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We are not responsible for loss or harm that comes from relying on the site instead of getting proper medical advice.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when anything changes and change the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
The legal bit
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
